FLAG FOOTBALL IS SANCTIONED
GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL SPORT
First Florida now Alaska, but
USA is light years Behind Canada
and Mexico when it comes to
girls high school flag football.
The
Anchorage School District has
approved the sport and
will spend $150,000 on the pilot
program. Flag Football will help
Alaska meet Title 9
Requirements.
Flag Football was chosen over
snowboarding because of the much
high level of interest in
American Football. Alaska is
following in the footsteps of
Florida who sanctioned the sport
five years ago.
