NFL"s Canadian Championships
Eight regional winners from troughout Canada
competed this past weekend for the right to be
crowned Canadian National Champs and the opportunity
to represent Canada at the NFL's 8th Annual Youth
World Championships in New Orleans,LA.,
Regional Winners were from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia
,Hamilton, Ontario ,Calgary, Alberta,Montreal,
Quebec ,Charlottetown, PEI ,Winnipeg, Manitoba.
In the Championship game it was the Steelers from
Hamilton Ontario who captured the crown as they
narrowly defeated the Edmonton Eskimos 7-6. Hamilton
scored its points within the first 6 minitues of the
game and its defense held up for the win.
The Trophy was presented
to the champions Hamilton Steelers by the
commissioner of the CFL Mark Cohen and Lyle Bauer GM
of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. |
