Chicago Bears Charles Tillman Tournament
Written by By Vaughn McClure-http://blogs.chicagosports.chicagotribune.com Monday, 29 June 2009 02:37
third annual celebrity gridiron challenge
Bears cornerback Charles Tillman did his best Brett Favre impersonation Friday morning, playing quarterback for a flag football team during his third annual celebrity gridiron challenge, held at Elmhurst College. After talking about the $75,000 he raised for his Cornerstone Foundation -- aimed to benefit critically and chronically ill children in the Chicago area -- Tillman took a moment to address the rumors surrounding Favre possible return to football with the Minnesota Vikings. "I hope he does go to Minnesota,'' Tillman said. "I would like to compete against him once again. You play to go against the best. If he's the best quarterback (on the Vikings), I want to play against him. "I like him. He's a good competitor. He's a hell of a quarterback, a future-Hall-of-Fame quarterback. Whether he comes back, that's a big thing in Minnesota, not really Chicago. If he comes back, I think it will be a thrill. If not, then I think their other three quarterbacks will be happy.'' Bears linebacker Lance Briggs recently said Favre's return would increase the number of opportunities for interceptions. Tillman has three career picks against the legend. "That would be nice if he threw me a couple,'' Tillman said. "If I could get four or five for my career, that would be cool.''
