Acreage Wolverines claim Kelly McGillis Classic flag football title

Key West,FL-Womens 8Man Contact-The Acreage Wolverines won the 19th Annual Kelly McGillis Classic Flag Football World Challenge for the fifth consecutive year. The competition was Feb. 13-14 in Key West. The Wolverines scored over 60 points during the competition and gave up just two touchdowns. Quarterback Hilary Mears, receiver Charlene Thome and center Madison Harding were named to the tournament All-Star team on offense, while rusher Kailah Casillas, linebacker Raquel Lewis, linebacker Hailey Mears, safety Megan O’Hara and kicker Casey Turek earned defensive honors. Casillas and Thome earned team MVP honors. Team members are: Holley Mears, Hailey Mears, Casey Turek, Kailah Casillas, Raquel Lewis, Ashley LaCroix, Charlene Thome, Brittany Godfrey, Hilary Mears, Megan O’Hara. Kaitlin O’Hara, and Madison Harding. Coaches are Shawn Mears and Rodney Lewis.
