Nebraska Flag Football League seeks Flag Football Referees
Omaha,NE- The YMCA is currently hiring Flag Football Referees.Hours: Temporary/Part-time 6-10 hours per week
Saturdays 8:30AM-5:30PM
Salary Range:
$10-$18/game. (Dependent on experience & certifications/qualifications)
Entry Requirements:
-We are looking for individuals to assume responsibilities as game officials for the upcoming Youth Flag Football season which runs August 25-October 20, 2012. Saturday availabiltiy will be required.
-Must be at least 16 years of age. Must be knowledgeable of the game that they are officiating. Previous officiating and/or trainings are a plus. Individual must gain a thorough understanding of the basic philosophy, nature and goals of the YMCA and have developed solid human relation’s skills.
-Individual must possess maturity, sound judgment, and possess a strong sense of responsibility.
-Sound organizational skills, as well as good oral and written communications skills and attention to detail are essential elements required to perform the duties of this position.
-Individual will be required to deal with the public on an on-going basis.
-On-site attendance is required of this position. Principle Responsibilities:
-Individual will work under the direction of the Sports Program Director, and will assist in the development, implementation, and supervision of youth sports programs.
-Exemplifies appropriate behavior at all times, and is a role model for participants and parents alike.
-Must assume full responsibility and be constantly concerned and aware of safety issues, becoming directly involved with the continual development and
implementation of safety practices.
