TYAA Raiders NFL Youth National Runners up

Miami,FL-Thumbs up to the TYAA Raiders. On Jan. 28, we had the good fortune to accompany the TYAA Raiders on their trip to the NFL Flag Football Tournament of Champions and the Pro Bowl in Miami, Fla.

The boys did a great job in taking second place in the championship game of the tournament against some very good competition. Tulare can be proud of how the boys played and conducted themselves in Florida. Congratulations to them! Congratulations also to the coaches, parents and behind-the-scene supporters who made this possible. Too often, these people do not receive the recognition they deserve for the hard work, devotion, time and sacrifices made on behalf of the youth they work with. TYAA coaches Chris Marquez and Eric Quinonez are tireless and relentless in teaching and mentoring these young men toward becoming the best athletes and people they can be. Coach Frank Silva and his wife, Tambra, also deserve special thanks for the countless hours and limitless support that they give in order for these young people to experience these types of activities. There are others, too numerous to name, to whom we are extremely grateful for enriching these young people's lives and making a difference.
