Acreage Wolverines claim Komen flag football title

The Acreage Wolverines won the the Third Annual Susan G. Komen Flag Football Tournament in the Pro Division on Jan. 30. The two-day competition raised over $10,000 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The Wolverines defeated five teams from the Acreage and Wellington during the tournament. The offense, led by quarterbacks Hilary Mears and Megan O’Hara, scored over 90 points. The defense gave up just one touchdown. O’Hara was named Offensive Player of the Tournament for the Pro Division. Team members are: Kailah Casillas, Holley Mears, Catherine Wilsnack, Madison Harding, Hilary Mears, Megan O’Hara, Kaitlin O’Hara, Ashley LaCroix, Taylor McClain and Charlene Thome. Coaches are Shawn Mears and Scott O’Hara.
