2009 BMFFL Summer Flag Football Standings

Boston,MA-Competiton heats up in week 2 of the Boston Metro Flag Football Summer Sunday Night League.Venom narrowly defeated MT IDA College 24 to 20 in a game that went down to the wire. Qb Jimmy Laurzon scrambled everywhere and conneceted for four touchdown passes. MT IDA knocked off Venom in the Spring A Division playoffs
In other games,last Years Summer League Champs Strange Train(Green Machine) beatup on New Landing 28 to 14. New Landing then defeated a short handed Rage(7 player) 13 to 6. Rage picked up a semi retired player off the sidelines to field a full team and was then crushed by Blue Collar 32 to 6. Blue Collars Jim Corbett playing Noseguard, Intercepted a RB screen pass and rumbled 40 yards before he nearly fainted.Blue Collars Qb connected for 5 Touchdowns to four different receivers.
10 Teams have now registered with the final deadline to register being June 14th. Teams registering late will make up games with double headers. All Registered summer league teams will play in the World Cup NIT Tournaments for Free, June 28th and July 26th in Boston
