The game will be 7Man & 4 Man Flag Football(Canadian Rules)

Only 24 teams will be excepted.

Trillium Tour- 7 Man Touch

Kingston,Ontario-Canada-
(Located 3 hours North of Toronto, 3 hours south of Montreal, on Lake Ontario)


   AYE!!!!!!!!

    Seventy two teams(48 Men, 24 Women) competed    this past weekend for the Kingston Trillium Tournament.Teams receive checks instead of trophys, $300 to first place and $200 to second place for each Division. Players are required to have football ID's and rosters have to be submitted one week before the tournament.The trillium tour is comprised of 6 regional tournaments where   teams must compete in three to be eligible for there provincials.  Each team receives points based on how they finish and are seeded at there provincials in September. Regardless of how a team does on Saturday they return on Sunday.Teams are placed in brackets based on points received from other tournaments. Brackets are made up of three teams and the  team with the worst record is dropped to a lower division for playoffs.
     The style of play is 7 on 7 one hand touch with no contact and a 5 yard rush. Three plays to go 10 yards for a first down on a Canadian size football field 65 yards x 110 yards.
     There was several great games, In the Elite Division-Tier One, The Ottawa Canadians had a chance to win with the ball on the 10 yardline on the last play of the game. The pass was incomplete and the Spartans held on for the win 19-18. (They could have tied the score by punting the ball out of the endzone). The women's Elite division featured the defending National Champion's ,Ottawa Devils Vs the new kids on the block, The Tailgators. In the end the devils proved they are still the team to beat by defeating the tailgators 13-0.
  The Rattlers won the two previous Mens Tournaments and the Tailgators won the two previous Womens tournaments.


Canada vs USA-Rules
Players must have Football ID's to play.
Many Men in Motion, moving forward is legal.
A team can get one point by kicking or punting the ball in the endzone, and if the offense does not return it out or is touched in the endzone.
Endzone's are 20 yards, field is 65 yards wide.
Many coaches have headsets to communicate with QB's(women)
Teams with weak records are not eliminated after first round, they are dropped to a lower divison for single elimination playoffs.
Only 7 Man football is played-No other styles



    Men Tier 1(Top Division)-A Div

Championship
Litzen Spartans 19  Ottawa Candians 18

     Spartans got on the scoreboard first with a 10 yard TD pass   to #24 Z. Mackinnen, he also caught the one point conversion to take the lead 7-0.
Peter Fude of the Spartans(#2) then intercepted  a pass and ran 40 yards for the score, the conversion failed and the spartans took a quick 13-0 lead.
The Canadians got on the scoreboard with a 10 yard pass to #77 Bruce Dunning, the conversion failed and the spartans lead at the half 13-6.
In the 3rd quarter the Dunnie Carle of the Canadians  intercepted a pass, and then the candians scored on a 20 yard pass to #39 Leo Beneunit. The conversion failed, Spartans 19 Canadians 18. The Canadians had the ball on the ball on the Spartans 10 yardline for the last play of the game.The Spartans defense came up big on the final stance to hang on for the win.

    The Devils #15 Nathalie Reed caught a 10 yard pass to put the Devils on the scoreboard 6-0. The Devils then scored on a  10 yard pass to #32 Maron Lefebvre, she also caught the 1 point conversion to end the scoring at 13-0. The Devils defense came up big on several drives stopping the Tailgators from scoring in the Red Zone. The Tailgotors won the two previous tournaments and this was the Devils 1st Touranment.

  The Rage started the scoring on a 10 yard pass to #32 Sue Snider, the 1 point conversion to#15 Lisa Kelly made it 7-0.  The Steel scored on a 10 yard td to #11 Barb wilcox, the conversion failed and the rage led at half time 7-6.The Rage scored the winning td in the fourth quarter on a 20 yard td pass to #32 Sue Snider, to cap the scoring at 13-6.
