Providence, RI

  USFTL, NIT

Preview

The first USFTL NIT takes place this weekend in Providence, MA with the top teams from Mass and New Hampshire all gearing up for either their dominance in league play or preparation for the IFFF regional qualifier. The Outlaws, Alliance and Generals all top teams in the BMFFL are up against serious opposition in the Blue Eagle Springfield, Equity Solution Worcester and Townies from Roslindale and also the Hitmen, Brockton. The favorites are the Outlaws and Alliance unbeaten in the BMFFL also finalists last year, these teams are packed with fast, skillful and very technical players produced between Mass and New Hampshire over the past three years. Although the Generals led by experience in Al Menino are always stiff competition for both and so are the Hitmen making a comeback after a year out? Research on the out of area teams indicates that they are serious contenders for this title, fully equipped to give the above teams a run for their money. With eight big names in the 8man game clashing in this tournament who knows what upsets to expect, but from a players perspective they will be competing against the best talent. Players to watch: Tony Sanders Chiccone Outlaws (WR), Matt Kling Alliance (RB/DB), Al Menino Generals (QB), Gabe Boatwright Hitmen (WR/CB) Mike Marino Townies (QB) and Jeff Heenan (WR) Equity Solution many more…
